Solar Decathlon 2007
Solar Decathlon is an international competition held every other year in which student teams from various universities design and construct a solar-powered home. Carnegie Mellon's 2007 entry was a collaborative effort between many disciplines.
I wanted to explore different solutions to joining wood and using simple mechanics to provide visual interest to a simple silhouette. I also enjoy the tension created by the glass tabletop that seems to float above the frame.
